Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a NC or compact RN license and at least one year of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital acute care setting on the Medical/Surgical Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Night shifts from 6:45PM to 7:15AM
• 13-week travel contract assignment
• Responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in the PCU/Med-Surg unit
• Night shift schedule may include weekends and holidays as required by the unit
• All certifications must be valid through at least the first 30 days of the assignment

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• A minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Progressive Care or related specialty
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC are required and may not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Must provide US Social Security Number and date of birth for consideration; Canadian SSNs are not accepted
• At least one professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the hospital; local candidates are not eligible
