Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring craniotomy and burr hole experience, with a TX or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Main Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Specialties include neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, and general/robotics/trauma cases
• Craniotomy and burr hole procedures are performed regularly
• Day shift with three 12-hour shifts per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) from 6:30 to 19:00
• Call and late day coverage required as needed
• Altera EMR experience preferred, but not required
• Mandatory drug screen is conducted onsite and includes marijuana; positive results will result in cancellation
• Use of CBD products may result in a positive drug screen and should be avoided
• Applicants must not reside within 150 miles of the hospital
• Previous permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least one year to be eligible
• Required online modules completed during orientation, averaging 6-8 hours
• Team works with a variety of surgical cases in a high-acuity OR environment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in the OR service line required
• Experience performing craniotomies and burr holes required
• Current BLS certification required
• Must be able to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance or have a plan for completion
• Submission of resume and certification verifications required
• References from two supervisors within the past three years required
• Travel experience preferred
