Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Float Pool position requiring Level 1 pediatric experience and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Pediatric Float Pool within a hospital setting
• Must be able to float to all pediatric units within the Children's division
• Care is provided to a variety of pediatric patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex
• 12-hour night shifts scheduled three days per week
• Holidays and weekends are required
• Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to assigned pediatric patients
• Expected to collaborate with physicians and support staff in diagnostic procedures and treatment
• May administer medications, initiate IV infusions, and monitor physiological data
• Must be able to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members
• 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license is required
• Current AHA BLS and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of one year of pediatric RN experience required
• Level 1 pediatric experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program is required
