Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a day shift assignment requiring ARRT, ACLS, BLS, and proficiency in interventional and diagnostic cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cardiac catheterization lab serving middle adult to geriatric patients
• Duties include diagnostic right and left heart catheterizations, interventional cath procedures, use of rotablator and IABP, and management of closure devices
• Team members circulate, scrub, and set up sterile procedures and equipment
• Uses computer-based documentation systems
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call requirement includes at least 2 weekends in an 8-week period and 1-2 weeknights, with schedule split between cardiac and neuro cases after appropriate training
• Travelers may float to different units as needed
• Responsibilities include circulating, scrubbing, and performing complex cardiac procedures
• Call coverage will expand to include neuro cases after initial training
• Mandatory modules completed during orientation and annually, with transcripts recorded
• Candidate must schedule and complete required labs within specified deadlines after assignment confirmation
• Staff must wait two years post-employment before returning as travelers
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Travelers must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; locals within 75 miles are eligible at a lower bill rate

Requirements

• Current ARRT certification required
• Valid state license or compact license required if applicable
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in cath lab specialty
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional cath procedures, rotablator, IABP, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required
• Must be able to work with middle adult and geriatric populations
• Two professional references required for consideration
• EPIC experience preferred for Allied roles
