Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in Texas requiring a current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and a TX or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
• Night shift position (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• May be required to float to other floors or campuses as needed
• Altera EMR experience preferred but not required
• Completion of educational modules during orientation, averaging 6-8 hours
• Mandatory drug screen upon arrival, including testing for Marijuana and CBD products
• Must provide two supervisor references from the last three years of employment
• Modules are not billable and are completed as part of orientation
• Return staff must meet the 1-year separation rule before being eligible
• Flexible case-by-case consideration for documentation if communicated before the due date

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Labor and Delivery required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Must reside at least 150 miles from the facility
• Previous permanent staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Ability to complete required lab items within 72 hours of offer acceptance
