Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Michigan, requiring a current MI RN license and strong proficiency in L&D, postpartum, and special care.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, and Nursery (LDRPN) unit
• Care for laboring, postpartum, and special care patients
• Night shift position from 7:00pm to 7:30am, three days a week
• Requires working every other weekend
• Experience with Cerner EMR is required
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• May float to a nearby sister hospital
• Completion of onsite online modules with a passing score required prior to start
• COVID vaccination is mandatory
• Participation in background check and drug screening with timely completion required
• Effective communication and leadership in coordinated, compassionate patient care are essential responsibilities
• Vacation or time off requests must be submitted prior to assignment start and are subject to manager approval after assignment begins

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Minimum of two years Labor & Delivery experience required, with three years preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR for at least one year required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications through AHA required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
