Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position caring for adults and older adults using Epic EMR and requiring current GA or compact RN licensure.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 32-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit with an adult and older adult patient population
- Patient ratio is 1:5
- Care involves trauma patients and administration of Heparin drips and other acute medications
- Specialty equipment used includes gait belts, geriatric chairs, and physical therapy equipment
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Night shift position with 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week
- No on-call responsibilities
- NICHE training, skilled nursing, or rehab experience is a plus but not required
- Daily responsibilities include monitoring trauma patients and managing Heparin drips and other acute medications
- Must be comfortable using physical therapy equipment and mobility devices like gait belts and geriatric chairs
- No RTO will be accepted
- First-time travelers are not restricted from applying
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
- Documented Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Completed Med/Surg Tele skills checklist required
- Two references from similar experience within the last two years, from supervisors or managers
- Prior experience with Epic EMR required
