Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical Oncology position requiring night shifts and ONS/ONCC certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting within the Surgical Oncology unit
• Stepdown and Med/Surg patient populations are included
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, three days per week
• Patient care involves a variety of cases ranging from simple to complex
• No locals allowed due to a 50-mile radius requirement
• Responsible for providing direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring physiological data, and assisting with diagnostic procedures
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare team members in patient care planning and education
• Documents patient responses to interventions and updates care plans as needed
• Expected to delegate tasks appropriately to support staff
• Must be able to respond effectively to the cultural and language needs of patients and families
• Adheres to dress code and policies specific to the hospital environment

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• ONS/ONCC certification required
• Minimum of one year RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Ability to provide competent nursing care and apply nursing techniques to a diverse patient population
