Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist experienced in both CT and X-ray procedures with current ARRT and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Short-term acute care setting
• Work in the CT department with responsibilities supporting X-ray as needed
• Patient population covers a wide range of imaging needs, including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, and musculoskeletal cases
• Use of Siemens and Philips 256 slice CT scanners and various X-ray equipment including Siemens, Agfa, and GE systems
• Charting is done using Cerner EMR
• Night shifts: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 19:30 to 6:00 (4x10 hour shifts)
• Floating required within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Candidates must be willing to support X-ray operations as needed in addition to CT duties
• All travelers are required to float within the hospital or to affiliated hospitals
• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Royal blue scrubs are required
• Free parking is available
• Up to 5 days of non-holiday requested time off (RTO) may be auto-approved; additional RTO requires facility approval
• Eligible local candidates accepted for allied positions under designated rules
• Returning employees must have a 12-month break from prior employment before being eligible as a traveler
• Specific break periods are required for repeat travel assignments based on residency status

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of experience in CT and X-ray imaging
• Current ARRT (R) and BLS certification required
• Experience with CT and X-ray equipment, including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, surgery/C-arm
• Must possess an active Indiana state license prior to start date (license required if applicable)
• First-time travelers are welcome for consideration
• Cerner charting experience required
• Must have graduated from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE
• AHA or RQI certifications accepted if current
