Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position on night shift, requiring an active OK or compact RN license and Level 1 L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with five 8-hour shifts per week
• Patient population includes a range of laboring and postpartum women with cases from simple to complex
• Level 1 Labor & Delivery experience required
• No local candidates accepted due to a 50-mile radius rule
• Provide nursing care for a group of patients, administering medications and monitoring physiological status
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures
• Coordinate care and communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
• Delegation of tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Holiday coverage may be required per department needs

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma or compact RN license required
• Minimum of one year of Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Associate's degree in nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Certifications from American Heart Association only: BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP (Advanced Provider or Instructor)
• Ability to perform and document nursing care for complex L&D patients
• Some computer skills required
