Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 3 years of recent experience in level 1 trauma hospital settings for an overnight contract assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a diagnostic imaging department performing CT scans
• 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Patients include those in a large, high-acuity, trauma-level environment
• Duties involve computerized tomographic procedures in accordance with hospital, state, and federal standards
• Expected to review images and ensure documentation in the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS)
• GE equipment experience is preferred
• Conduct patient interviews and gather clinical history to ensure accurate and thorough documentation
• Educate and provide instructions to patients and family members related to procedures
• Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and department meetings
• Maintain ongoing licensure and certification through continuing education
• Adhere to universal precautions and infection control policies
• Work may involve exposure to hazardous materials and requires manual dexterity and visual acuity
• Scrub or dress code requirements per facility policy
• Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and multitask under time constraints

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist in a large level 1 trauma hospital
• Active NJ Radiologic Technologist license (pending licenses are not accepted); license required if applicable
• Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT registry eligibility and/or NJ State Board of Examiners certification
• Full knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy as it relates to CT imaging
• Competency in computerized tomography procedures
• COVID vaccination and at least 1 booster (religious exemptions accepted)
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks required for imaging duties
