Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric ICU RN with one year of pediatric and Level I trauma experience, plus current BLS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Stepdown unit caring for pediatric ICU patients
• Night shifts with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Level I trauma setting with complex and varied pediatric patient population
• Responsible for providing evidence-based nursing care and monitoring physiological data for assigned pediatric patients
• Must be comfortable administering medications, performing IV infusions and blood products, and assisting with minor procedures
• Communicates care plans with patients and families and coordinates care with the healthcare team
• No local candidates accepted; must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Compliance with health and background screening requirements

Requirements

• Active OK or multistate compact RN license required
• Minimum one year of experience in pediatric ICU and Level I trauma environment
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Good communication, organization, and basic computer skills
