Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a seasonal Med Surg/Telemetry position requiring a TX or compact license and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Position is located in a Med Surg/Telemetry unit with 20 beds
• Work as part of a team including charge RN, staff RNs, and CNAs
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM for a 13-week contract
• Patient ratio is 1:5
• Procedures include phlebotomy, wound care, tracheostomy care, and NG tube management
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Floating required to other Med Surg units
• Scrub attire is royal blue
• Candidates must display strong teamwork and a positive attitude
• Seasonal contract; first time travelers are welcome
• No local candidates accepted; must live outside a 50 mile radius
• Professional reference(s) required per state regulations

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• At least 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• At least 1 year of recent specialty-specific experience required
• Must provide US Social Security Number and date of birth for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
