Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist (Special Procedures) with experience in neuro and general IR for a 13-week day shift contract.
Responsibilities
- Work in a comprehensive stroke center within a special procedures/interventional radiology department
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- On-call rotation required for nights and weekends
- Equipment used includes Siemens Bi-Plane and Fuji PACS
- EMR and RIS systems utilized are Meditech and Fuji PACS
- Procedures include perm cath/dialysis cath placement, angiogram, embolization, mechanical thrombectomy, and kyphoplasty
- Unit is supported by 7 full-time IR techs and 6 RNs
- Daily responsibilities include performing a variety of neuro and general IR procedures
- Must be flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to shifting patient volumes
- Team environment with day shift IR techs and RNs supporting procedures
- Dress code requires black pants, sage/olive green top, or hospital-issued scrubs
- Comprehensive stroke care experience highly desirable
- On-call responsibilities include nights and weekends as scheduled
Requirements
- Active ARRT certification required
- Minimum of 1 year current experience in interventional radiology with general and neuro IR procedures
- Experience with Siemens Bi-Plane equipment preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is required
- Must have US Social Security Number and provide date of birth for consideration
- Must provide appropriate professional references per state regulations
- License required if applicable
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
