Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med-Surg RN with a NM or compact license and recent travel nursing background for a fast-paced hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Med-Surg unit within a hospital environment
- 12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, three nights per week
- Floating between hospital departments and local locations within 20 miles is required
- Patient care documented and managed using Epic EMR; on-site training available
- Must adhere to a 50-mile radius rule; local candidates are not eligible
- Return travelers who were previously permanent staff must wait one year before being reconsidered
- Completion of pass/fail orientation and competency testing required on the first day, with one retake permitted
- Responsibilities include clinical supervision of LPNs and assistive personnel and collaboration with family and healthcare team
- Teamwork, flexibility, and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment are essential
Requirements
- Active New Mexico or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
- Minimum of two years current Med-Surg experience required
- At least one prior 13-week travel assignment completed
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
- Epic charting system experience preferred but not required
