Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with Illinois licensure and BLS for an acute care hospital, with experience in Epic EMR and Level 1 trauma preferred.

Responsibilities

Work in an acute care hospital setting serving patients of all ages
Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM
Utilizes Epic EMR for documentation
Provides evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for diverse patient populations
Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and supports PTA and rehabilitation technicians
Responsibilities include designing and adjusting care plans, providing patient and family education, and supervising support personnel
Expected to use standardized outcome measures to ensure accurate reflection of patient progress
Must adhere to regulatory and organizational documentation standards
No local candidates accepted; candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
Requested time off should not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
Contingent workers may not be assigned for more than 1 year continuously and must take a 6-month break before returning
Scrub attire or professional dress required as per department guidelines

Requirements

Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) license required if applicable
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association required
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required
Epic charting experience required
Level 1 trauma experience required
Minimum one year of relevant experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered
