Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a current CA RN license for a night shift position.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Cares for a range of emergency patients and participates in peak surge response
• Night shift position for 36-48 hours per week, with 4x12 hour shifts possible
• May be required to float to other hospital nursing areas during low census
• Collaborate closely with Emergency Department physicians to deliver prompt patient care
• Must be able to maintain order and flow during high patient surges and prioritize critical tasks
• Participation in quality improvement activities is expected
• RTO is not approved unless specifically noted in the offer

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in an emergency department
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current certifications in CPR, ACLS, and PALS
