Job Description

American Traveler is seeking experienced RNs for a Stepdown Cardiac position in a float pool covering multiple units, requiring a NC or compact RN license and stepdown experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the stepdown cardiac float pool of an acute care hospital
• Float between multiple stepdown and intermediate care units based on facility needs
• Patient population includes cardiac stepdown and intermediate level cases
• Night shift position (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00)
• Uses Epic EMR for charting
• Scrub dress code: any solid color except ER (solid black) and OR/L&D (provided by facility)
• Pre-employment drug screening is conducted onsite upon assignment arrival
• Pre-arrival completion of self-directed training modules is required (approximate time: 13 hours for stepdown unit)
• Free staff parking is available in designated areas
• Requests for time off will not be accommodated during major holiday weeks

Requirements

• Current NC or compact RN license required
• Documented skills and experience in stepdown or intermediate level nursing required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Must not reside in Moore County
• FirstHealth employees must have a minimum one-year separation before being considered
