Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of recent experience and behavioral health expertise for an acute care hospital day shift assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute care hospital setting on the Occupational Therapy team
- Primary patient population includes individuals with disabilities or developmental delays, with a focus on behavioral health cases
- Day shift schedule, Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Expectation to participate in rehabilitative programs to improve vocational, daily living, and general independence skills
- Epic EMR experience is preferred
- Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and facilitating patient rehabilitative programs
- Modules and orientation are completed via e-learning, averaging 1-5 hours depending on specialty
- Only one holiday will be approved for RTO
- Return staff must be gone for at least 1 year to be eligible as a traveler
- Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
- Locals are accepted at a local rate
- Background history should be disclosed prior to consideration
- Scrub or dress code details may be discussed upon onboarding
Requirements
- Current CA Occupational Therapist license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant OT experience in an acute care setting
- BLS certification (AHA) required and must be in hand at consideration
- Demonstrated behavioral health experience
- 50-mile radius rule applies
- License required if applicable
- Candidates must provide accurate 7-year work history and, if necessary, documentation or contacts for verification
