Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift role requiring a compact or NC RN license and two years of PCU/Stepdown experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a healthcare facility
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every third weekend is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within the hospital as needed and within scope
• Uses Meditech EMR system
• Will not consider travel pairs for PCU and CCU units
• Block scheduling may be discussed during the interview
• Return staff must be gone for at least one year and in good standing, and may not be local
• Medical or religious exemption for COVID vaccination must be requested within 72 hours of acceptance using the facility form

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum two years of recent PCU or Stepdown experience required
• No first time travelers accepted for this position
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Two professional supervisory references from within the past two years required
• Copy of Nursys report and COVID vaccination card required for consideration
• Background checks accepted with only minor infractions
