Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse with MS/Tele experience and an active NY RN license for a day shift position requiring Epic proficiency and advanced cardiac care skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 26-bed MS/Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes post-PCI, pacemaker, AICD, post-MI, and cardiac pharmacologic intervention cases
• Patient ratios are 1:5 for telemetry and 1:7 for med-surg
• Day shifts are 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• Use Epic for electronic charting; Epic experience required
• Floating may be required within skillset as needed
• Responsibilities include providing advanced care to patients with complex cardiac conditions
• Team members may be required to float within their skillset to other units as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Navy blue and white scrubs are required
• Must be available to work assigned holidays and every other weekend
• Return staff must have at least 1 year since previous employment at this facility

Requirements

• Active NY State Single State RN license required prior to consideration
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year recent MS/Tele RN experience required
• Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, peripheral line care, and cardiac monitoring
• Experience with oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, wound care, and emergency response
• Must have recent experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and participating in rapid response/code teams
• Epic charting experience required
• No applicants living within 75 miles of the facility will be considered
