Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with trauma, neuro, ortho, and ENT experience and a Texas or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Operating Room of an acute care hospital
• Cases include general, ortho, neuro, trauma, and ENT surgeries
• Pediatric experience is preferred but not required
• Variable shifts with rotating days off and call required
• Options include 3x12 or 4x10 hour day shifts, to be discussed in interview
• Call responsibilities are required
• Schedule flexibility is necessary as block scheduling is not available
• Cerner is the charting system used and prior experience is preferred
• Role requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work variable shifts
• Must be prepared to work some holidays as needed
• No block scheduling is available for this position
• Pending licenses are accepted for consideration but must be active before the start date

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license, or ability to obtain prior to start
• Trauma, neuro, ortho, and ENT operating room experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• 2 supervisory references from the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• On-site drug screen required prior to start
