Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, ARRT(R)(CT) certification, and the ability to work independently overnight.

Responsibilities

• Position is for a multimodality technologist with at least 25% focus in advanced imaging such as CT
• Work setting includes both ambulatory and hospital patients
• Shift is Monday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Position requires overnight work with limited supervision
• Scrub uniform is black or black bottoms with maroon top
• Responsibilities include performing high-quality multimodality imaging procedures according to protocol and maintaining production standards
• Must demonstrate understanding of radiation safety, dose monitoring, and actions if reference levels are exceeded
• Must be able to perform iSTAT point of care testing for creatinine levels
• Clear and courteous communication with patients and families using AIDET is expected
• Maintains cleanliness and operational standards of equipment and work area
• Adheres to safety, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies
• Responsible for maintaining documentation and imaging records per department policy
• First aid and emergency cart skills are required
• Not eligible for local travelers due to radius rule

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT imaging experience required
• Active ARRT(R)(CT) certification required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• TMB certification required
• Active Texas license required if applicable
• Must be able to work independently and perform high quality multimodality procedures
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local travelers are not accepted
• Flu vaccination is mandatory during flu season; exemptions are not permitted
