Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with telemetry and Epic charting experience for a day shift in a busy telemetry unit.

Responsibilities

• Position is for a Telemetry Unit in a hospital setting
• 36-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:6
• Day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 to 19:00
• Floating required to units of equal acuity
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required
• Unit cares for adult telemetry patients
• Orientation modules are completed onsite and recorded via transcripts
• No RTO approved during the first week of orientation and a maximum of 3 days RTO will be auto approved
• No travel pairs or groups are allowed
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Team-oriented environment with support from experienced staff

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Locals within 50 miles are not eligible
• Travelers residing in the following counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
• Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
