Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with at least 2 years of experience and Epic EMR proficiency, for a day shift traveler assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based Medical Surgical unit caring for mixed med/surg and intermediate care patients
- Patient assignments typically range from 1:4 to 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- 36- or 48-hour weekly schedules available with 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
- Epic EMR is used on the unit
- Modules required for orientation are completed onsite
- First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
- No travel pairs or groups permitted
- No more than 3 days of requested time off will be automatically approved
- No time off is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Professional attire required per facility guidelines
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a Med/Surg setting required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
- Former permanent staff must be gone for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
