Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for adult cardiac cases, requiring RCIS or ARRT-R certification and strong procedural skills.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a hospital cardiac cath lab with four procedure rooms
• Handles adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including CAD, MI, post-cardiac arrest, heart failure, and complex valvular disease
• Expected average daily caseload is 15 cases
• Performs PCI, CTO, PFO/ASD closure, coronary atherectomy, pericardiocentesis, TAVR, Mitraclip, IABP, Impella, ECMO placement, coronary thrombectomy, and related interventional procedures
• Utilizes equipment such as Impella and IABP consoles, Shockwave, Boston Scientific IVUS/FFR/DFR, Acist, MedRad, and Rotablader
• Schedule is 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• One weekend shift per month is required, with on-call one day per week and one weekend per month
• Floating within the hospital may be required based on need
• Duties include assisting with cardiac and structural heart procedures, device management, and supporting interventional case needs
• Participation in team-based care with RN and physician support
• Orientation modules must be completed and are unpaid
• Holiday shifts are required as scheduled
• Candidates must be comfortable floating within their scope of experience
• Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility for eligibility
• Return travelers must have a 6-month break from the health system; former staff must be gone for 12 months to be eligible
• All requested time off must be declared at the time of initial consideration and cannot be changed after offer
• Dress code and scrub color as specified by the hospital

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years cath lab experience required with RCIS; 3 years required with ARRT-R
• Active RCIS or ARRT-R certification required
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA only) required
• Must hold an active Maryland or Compact Radiologic license at time of consideration (license required if applicable)
• Not open to first-time travelers
• Two recent satisfactory professional references required, including one supervisor/manager and one charge RN
