Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with acute care experience for a day shift inpatient rehab assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in an inpatient rehab setting within an acute care hospital
• Primary patient diagnoses include orthopedics, transplant, med surg, neurology, and ICU cases
• Monday to Friday schedule, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• 12-week contract with 40 hours per week
• First-time travelers are welcome for this assignment
• Return staff must have at least a one-year separation from previous employment
• No requested time off is permitted during the first two weeks of the contract and no more than 7 days off allowed for a 13-week contract
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are accepted at a local rate
• Employees must complete required facility and unit-specific training modules within one week of signing their contract
• Scrub color is not specified
• Candidates may only be considered for one location at a time

Requirements

• Active state PT license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience in a hospital setting
• Skills in cardiopulmonary, geriatrics, neurology, oncology, and orthopedics required
• Flu vaccination required
• Two supervisor references required
