Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown position with night shifts, requiring a MO or compact RN license and recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital stepdown unit
• Care for patients transitioning from critical to general care settings
• Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Facility is a Level II Trauma and Level II Stroke Center
• Electronic charting with Epic; Epic experience is preferred
• Orientation modules are completed during onboarding and recorded via MyPath
• Free parking is available on-site
• A 50-mile radius rule applies for local candidates, who may be accepted at a lower rate
• Travel experience is preferred but not required
• Modules for onboarding are non-billable and completed within four hours

Requirements

• Active MO or compact state RN license; pending accepted but must be in hand prior to start
• Minimum one year of recent stepdown or acute care nursing experience required
• Two years of total nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Candidates must provide two references, copy of driver's license, and SSN for consideration
• Former staff must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
