Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with active CA licensure and recent L&D experience for night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Work schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Care for patients with a focus on both routine and high-risk obstetric cases
• EMR system is EPIC
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns in a busy Labor & Delivery unit
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient outcomes
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Workers may not exceed two years of continuous or cumulative assignments without a 90-day break

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum one year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent Labor & Delivery experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
• Preferred: BSN or bachelor's degree in a related field
• Preferred: Five or more years recent (within last 2 years) L&D experience
• Preferred: One year of high-risk L&D experience within the last two years
• High risk OB experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Last four digits of SSN and DOB are required for consideration
