Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PCU RN for a Head, Neck, and Plastics telemetry unit with night shifts and floating requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Progressive Care Unit specializing in head, neck, and plastics cases within a teaching hospital
• Provides care to progressive care and telemetry patients
• 12-hour night shifts (3x12s) from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Requires weekend coverage
• Floating required within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Epic EMR is used; prior Epic experience preferred
• Responsibilities include patient monitoring, coordination of progressive care services, and working with specialized head, neck, and plastic surgery populations
• Return staff must be separated for at least 6 months before returning as travelers
• All requested RTO must be declared at the time of application; additional time off will not be approved after offer
• Orientation includes billable modules to be completed during onboarding
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active KY or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and telemetry experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• No licensure hits accepted
• Must provide two recent supervisory references
• Local candidates residing within 100 miles are not eligible
