Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Stepdown Intermediate Care position with night shifts and a KS or compact RN license requirement.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Stepdown Intermediate Care unit within a teaching hospital setting
• Medical/Surgical patient population
• Uses Cerner OneChart for electronic health records
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Ceil blue scrubs are required
• May float to similar units as needed
• Work as part of a team in a teaching hospital environment
• COVID vaccination is not required for assignment
• Local candidates are accepted but subject to a reduced rate based on facility radius rules
• Auto-offer process for assignment placement
• Two professional references and a copy of driver’s license are required for consideration
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required and verifiable through Nursys
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification recommended and maintained per guidelines
• Completion of MOAB De-Escalation Training recommended
• Must provide a US Social Security Number and a valid US home address
• Primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to the start date
