Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist with a NY license and ASHA CCC to provide adult swallowing therapy in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in an outpatient clinical setting specializing in adult patients
• Primary focus on treating patients with swallowing difficulties, including those with diagnoses such as stroke and Parkinson’s disease
• Care for several end-of-life cases and medically complex adults
• EMR system used is Sunrise
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm
• Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of swallowing disorders and developing care plans for adult and end-of-life patients
• Ciel blue scrubs required as facility dress code
• Local candidates are accepted within a 60-mile radius at a reduced rate

Requirements

• Current NY Speech Pathologist License required if applicable
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience providing speech therapy to adults
• Ability and experience in diagnosing and treating adult swallowing disorders
• Two professional references from previous managers required
