Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown Unit position requiring 18 months of recent stepdown experience and a valid OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital stepdown unit
• Patient population primarily stepdown/PCU cases
• Day and night 12-hour shifts available with rotating schedule as needed
• Staff may be required to rotate shifts based on operational needs
• Must work at least every other holiday
• Must complete required competency tests during orientation
• Assignments at the facility cannot exceed 18 consecutive months
• A minimum 6-month break between assignments is required for previous employees
• First day compliance includes providing required identification
• Two professional references must be provided for consideration

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 18 months of recent stepdown experience
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment must be passed during orientation
