Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Burn ICU/PCU position, requiring a TN or compact license and NIH Stroke certification.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Burn ICU within a hospital setting
- Provides progressive care to burn and critical care patients
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week contract assignment
- Floating may be required based on operational needs
- Care for critically ill burn patients in a specialized ICU environment
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- No local candidates accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility
- Certifications must be active and not expire within the first 30 days of assignment
- Assignments are not open to candidates previously employed permanently by the facility
Requirements
- Active RN license in TN or Compact state required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Progressive Care or Burn ICU
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA or ARC required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- Submission requires valid US SSN and date of birth for consideration
- Valid professional references required (one for TN, two for Florida/Missouri submissions)
