Job Description

American Traveler seeks a Mammography Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and current BLS, ARRT, and California license for a contract position in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based mammography unit
• Day shifts, 5x8 hours from 8:00 to 17:30
• No on-call responsibility
• Block scheduling may be available Sat-Mon
• No floating between like units, but may be required to float to affiliate/sister facilities
• Uses Epic EMR system; Epic experience required
• Radiology staff are required to wear dark solid color scrubs
• Main responsibilities include performing mammography imaging and collaborating with the healthcare team
• Must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year
• All travelers may be required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliated facilities as needed
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot live within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Free parking is provided on the first day, with assignment parking provided during orientation
• Compliance training modules must be completed pre-start and annually
• Requested time off must be declared at the time of application; approval depends on facility needs
• Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a lower bill rate

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant mammography experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ARRT and ARRT Advanced certification required
• Valid California Radiologic Technologist license required (license required if applicable)
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Must provide at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years in a comparable setting
