Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position with on-call duties and a requirement for at least 24 months of recent Cath Lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Cardiac Cath Lab within a hospital setting
• Schedule consists of 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with a random day off during the week
• On-call required every third night and every third weekend, from 7:00 PM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday
• Role requires floating across all Des Moines campuses to like units, which are minutes apart
• Use of Epic EMR system
• Duties may include circulating, scrubbing, and precepting as needed in the Cath Lab
• Initial orientation consists of 16 hours
• Must be willing to float to like units at other nearby hospital campuses
• Requires working call as assigned on nights and weekends
• Dress code and scrubs will be specified by the facility
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for full travel pay rates

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• A minimum of 24 months of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience is required
• Strong and experienced circulator skills required
• Structural heart and EP lab experience highly preferred
• Previous travel assignment experience highly preferred
• Preference for candidates with scrubbing experience
• Driver’s license required for consideration
