Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a GA or compact RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and circulator skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Cath Lab unit serving adult and geriatric patients
• Caseload includes three rooms with five beds and a daily census of 8-10 patients
• Responsibilities include circulating procedures, dysrhythmia management, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Utilizes Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems; Epic experience preferred
• Day shift schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week from 7:00 to 17:30
• Ten on-call days per month are required
• Scheduled to work every third weekend
• Potential floating to a nearby campus may be requested
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrub attire is provided by the facility
• A clinical screen will be conducted to evaluate clinical fit
• Compliance with all onboarding requirements is mandatory to start on time
• A maximum of seven days of requested time off is allowed and no time off can be taken during the first week
• Holiday coverage is required per hospital policy depending on holiday frequency during the assignment
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Travel pairs are not allowed to be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Current GA or compact RN license
• Minimum of one year of Cath Lab RN experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias required
• Ability to administer and monitor procedural sedation
• Two supervisory references from a manager or higher are required for consideration
• May not have been employed in a permanent or PRN RN role at any Piedmont facility within the last year
