Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a NH or compact license and strong critical care skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Day shift schedule from 7:00am to 3:30pm
• Involves participation in on-call assignments with a 30-minute response time required during call
• Workweek runs from Sunday morning to Saturday night
• Responsibilities include assisting with cardiac interventions, managing critical care medications, and reviewing patient history for procedure safety
• Must demonstrate expertise in sterile technique and maintaining radiation safety
• Assists with set-up, insertion, and maintenance of specialized cardiac equipment including IABP, IMPELLA, Flow wire, Opsens, and IVUS
• Required to identify and monitor hemodynamic waveforms during catheterizations
• Must adhere to appropriate documentation procedures for sedation
• NIHSS and certification in specialty are preferred or can be obtained during orientation

Requirements

• Active New Hampshire or compact RN license required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab experience required
• General certifications required: BLS, ACLS (preferred), and CPI (preferred or within 6 months)
• Experience with complex and critical care medication infusions, including titration management
• Ability to safely administer procedural sedation and pass annual sedation examination
