Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least two years of OR experience and a valid or pending DC RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position based in an Operating Room setting
- Patient cases include general OR, bariatrics, ENT, neurology, orthopedics, and urology
- Specialized procedures include total joints, spine, craniotomy, free flaps, cytoreduction, bariatric, and ENT/OMF surgeries
- 3x12 hour evening shifts, 11:00 to 23:30
- Required to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
- On call required: 6 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule
- One weekend shift and one holiday shift required per 6-week schedule
- First-time travelers with at least two years of OR experience will be considered
- Flu vaccine is required for employment
- Scrub attire color is ceil blue
Requirements
- Active DC RN license or proof of pending DC RN license required at time of consideration, with license in hand prior to start date
- Minimum of two years recent Operating Room RN experience required
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Experience with specialized OR procedures as outlined in job details
