Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least two years of OR experience and a valid or pending DC RN license.

Responsibilities

Position based in an Operating Room setting
Patient cases include general OR, bariatrics, ENT, neurology, orthopedics, and urology
Specialized procedures include total joints, spine, craniotomy, free flaps, cytoreduction, bariatric, and ENT/OMF surgeries
3x12 hour evening shifts, 11:00 to 23:30
Required to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
On call required: 6 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule
One weekend shift and one holiday shift required per 6-week schedule
First-time travelers with at least two years of OR experience will be considered
Flu vaccine is required for employment
Scrub attire color is ceil blue

Requirements

Active DC RN license or proof of pending DC RN license required at time of consideration, with license in hand prior to start date
Minimum of two years recent Operating Room RN experience required
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
Experience with specialized OR procedures as outlined in job details
