Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT/Xray Technologist with current ARRT and CT certification for a 13-week diagnostic imaging assignment requiring both CT and X-ray skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based diagnostic imaging department
• Perform both CT and X-ray procedures under physician direction
• Varied 12-hour shifts, typically 7:00 AM-7:30 PM or 7:00 PM-7:30 AM, including on-call night shifts
• Operate CT equipment and utilize PACS and RIS systems
• Responsible for ordering supplies for the CT department
• Maintain CME credits to retain active ARRT and CT certification status
• Participate in quality assurance programs and regular staff meetings
• Dress code requires personal scrubs in any color except royal blue, forest green, or bright red
• May perform clerical duties, filing, scheduling, and reception as necessary
• Must notify interpreting physicians promptly if exam results require immediate clinical attention

Requirements

• Graduation from a 24-month radiological health science program or equivalent approved by the American Medical Association
• Current ARRT registration with CT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Alaska Fluoroscopy Users certification must be obtained within one month of hire
• At least 1 year of prior CT work experience preferred
• Must be able to perform both CT and X-ray procedures
