Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position, requiring at least one year of specialty experience and active NC or compact RN licensure.

Responsibilities

Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
Care for both adult and pediatric patients from ED, ICU, inpatient units, and outpatient services across a range of radiology procedures and diagnoses
Average daily caseload is 50-60 patients for work-up and recovery
Uses Epic EMR as well as iSTAT and POC equipment
12-hour day shifts (3x12s), with shift assignment per contract and no rotation between weekends and weekdays
Call responsibilities are assigned on a fair rotation among all team members, including travelers
No floating required
Support includes a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager within a diverse department team
Department culture emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and high clinical standards
Departmental orientation lasts up to 5 days, with flexibility based on candidate needs
Travelers are expected to participate in holiday coverage unless approved off in advance
Navy blue scrubs are required
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Free parking is available for staff

Requirements

Active NC or compact RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Interventional Radiology or a related unit
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with strong clinical skills
Prior experience with Epic EMR preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
