Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an IR Tech with ARRT(R), BLS, and at least 18 months to 2 years of interventional radiology experience for a hospital-based assignment.

Responsibilities

Short-term acute care hospital setting in the interventional radiology unit
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic procedures for a patient population ranging from pediatric through geriatric
Use of Cerner EMR is required
Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
On-call required: 10 shifts per month, including every 3rd or 4th weekend
May need to scrub into procedures as needed
Candidates must be willing to float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital as needed
Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays as part of the department schedule
RTO policy allows auto-approval of up to 5 days of requested time off
First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
Returning employees must have a 12-month gap since last employment as a perm or PRN staff member
Local candidates are accepted for this position
On-site parking is free for all staff
AHA and RQI certifications are accepted if current at time of consideration

Requirements

Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of interventional radiology experience required
Active ARRT(R) and BLS certifications required
Current Indiana Radiologic Technologist license or eligibility
Cerner EMR experience required
Knowledge of sterile technique and ability to maneuver equipment and adapt to patient needs
Travelers' education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution
Pending IN state license is acceptable if already applied for
License required if applicable
