Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown Unit position requiring recent stepdown experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a hospital stepdown unit
• Work schedule consists of 3x12 hour shifts with day and night rotation (7am-7:30pm/7pm-7:30am)
• Shift assignment may rotate based on operational needs
• Care provided to patients requiring stepdown or progressive care
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments required during orientation
• Must be willing to work at least every other holiday
• Assignments at any location with this health system are limited to 18 consecutive months with a 6 month break required before return
• Acceptable scores required on ECG rhythm and safeMedicate tests during orientation
• Traveler use of Qualivis – Lotus for timekeeping is required

Requirements

• Active Ohio or compact RN license in hand
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent RN experience in the specialty and at least 18 months of recent stepdown experience
• PCU/progressive care experience preferred but not required
