Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience and current ARRT and BLS certifications for a weekend day shift role.

Responsibilities

• Position in a hospital setting providing imaging for inpatient, observation, outpatient, and emergency department patients
• Duties include imaging in the ED, fluoroscopy, operating room (C-arm and O-arm), and portable X-rays
• Average of 175 studies per day, with higher volume on weekdays
• 12-hour day shifts: Friday 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, Saturday/Sunday 11:00 AM–11:30 PM
• On-call requirement of 2 shifts per month if needed
• Weekend position with no floating required
• Uses Epic EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, and Philips iSite PACS
• Department equipment includes GE Precision 500D R&F rooms, Shimadzu and Konica portable X-ray systems, GE OEC Elite C-arms, Medtronic O-arm
• Responsibilities include performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures throughout the hospital and supporting the on-campus rehab facility
• Team includes guest services and transport for inpatient and observation patients
• Administrative onboarding includes 1 day of Epic and policy review, with departmental orientation lasting 2 days to 1 week as needed
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
• Scrub color is black

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiology Technologist
• Current ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology required
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to rotate through all imaging areas including fluoroscopy, OR, ICU, portable, and emergency department
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• License required if applicable
