Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT/Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of dual-modality experience in a busy emergency and outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a free-standing emergency department with outpatient imaging services
- The unit averages 108 emergency visits and 100 radiology and CT studies per day
- Responsibilities include both CT and general x-ray imaging, including portable exams
- Uses Siemens XCite CT, Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors, Shimadzu RadSpeed x-ray, and GE AMX portable x-ray equipment
- Electronic medical records are managed using Epic with Epic Radiant and Philips iSite PACS
- Work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, 10-hour night shifts
- 3-4 on-call shifts per month with weekend rotation as determined by department needs
- No floating to other units is required
- Main responsibilities include performing and prioritizing both CT and x-ray diagnostic exams for emergency and outpatient patients
- Department leadership support is available
- Administrative onboarding and Epic training provided, followed by 2 days to 1 week of department-specific orientation as needed
- Black scrubs are required
- Free surface parking is available on site
- Holiday coverage is required for 75% of major holidays during the assignment
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a dual-modality Radiology (DX)/CT Technologist
- Current BLS required
- ARRT-R certification required for Radiology Tech responsibilities
- ARRT-CT certification required for CT Tech responsibilities
- Dual role requires both ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications
- Must be proficient in performing CT scans and general radiography, including portable exams
- Experience with Epic EMR is preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Traveler’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- License required if applicable
