Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient role requiring an OR PT license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a critical access outpatient rehabilitation and wellness center
• Day shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday
• Patient caseload averages 9 to 11 per day, depending on census and schedule
• Patient population includes orthopedic (total joints), general neuro, acute and chronic pain, balance issues, general medical, and upper extremity injuries
• Occasional splinting and coverage as an Admission Coordinator/Rehab PPS Coordinator may be required
• Epic charting system is used, with experience preferred but not required
• Facility is a Level IV Trauma Center with 21 staffed beds
• No weekend or on-call shifts required
• Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of a diverse outpatient caseload with primary focus on orthopedic and neurological conditions
• No unit floating required but occasional coverage for coordination roles may occur
• Scrub colors vary by unit
• Free parking is provided for staff
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Return travelers must have a minimum one-year separation from the system
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are not accepted
• All PTO or scheduling requests must be approved before signing
• Some holiday coverage may be needed depending on the unit

Requirements

• Active OR PT license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification is required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
• Epic charting experience is preferred but not required
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
• Must provide two professional references from the last two years, with at least one supervisor reference
