Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an X-Ray Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT (R) certification for night shifts at a leading teaching and trauma facility.

Responsibilities

Position is at a teaching hospital with Magnet status and Level 1 Trauma designation
Work primarily in X-Ray with occasional floating to other buildings on the same campus as needed
Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Call rotation required: 3-4 days per month
Daily caseload per tech varies
Orientation during the first week may be on day shift before transitioning to regular night schedule
Epic EMR is used at this facility
Duties include general X-Ray and fluoroscopic procedures for various patient populations in an acute setting
First-time travelers are accepted; travel experience is preferred
Scrub attire is teal tops with black bottoms
All paid parking is nights and weekends only, with a one-time $20 parking pass fee
During hurricane season (June-November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
All required modules must be completed pre-start and average 4 hours
All requested time off must be submitted up front and is subject to approval based on facility needs

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year experience as an X-Ray Technologist
Current BLS certification (AHA only)
ARRT (R) and SCRQSA (R) certifications required; license required if applicable
Experience with O/C-Arm is required
Agency must provide a radiation badge for the traveler
Previous employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
Applicants must live at least 60 miles from the facility for travel consideration; locals accepted at a reduced rate
