Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a HI RN license to provide critical care in a rotating night shift role.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care/Coronary Care Unit (ICU/CCU) of a hospital
• Patient population includes pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric individuals with serious respiratory or cardiac conditions, along with surgical patients
• 4-bed ICU/CCU unit with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with additional support for ventilated patients
• Rotating night shifts with a requirement to work 80 hours every two weeks
• Float to OB, Med-Surg, PACU, and ER as per competency level
• Must be open to working any assigned shift without exceptions
• After-hours PACU recovery is part of the role
• Comprehensive hospital orientation covering HR, safety, risk management, and IT
• Unit orientation includes 1-2 day shifts and 1-2 night shifts with a staff RN and completion of a competency binder
• Role involves coordinating and providing specialized care tailored to individual patient needs in the ICU
• Must complete orientation and training sessions as scheduled
• COVID-19 vaccination not required for consideration

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Emergency room experience recommended
