Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Ortho/Med-Surg night shift position requiring Epic charting experience and an active ID or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 10-bed Ortho/Med-Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Care for patients with musculoskeletal issues, post-orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions
• Patient ratio is 1:5
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts (18:45–07:15); both 36 and 48 hour/week options available
• Must use Epic EMR and have Epic charting experience
• Provide specialized care to orthopedic and medical-surgical patients, including education for patients and families
• No travel pairs or groups will be considered
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be approved; no time off permitted during first week of orientation
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Requirements

• Active Idaho or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience required; 1-2 years preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; a 100 mile radius rule is in effect
• Former permanent staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
