Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Progressive Care Unit position in a Clinical Decision Unit, requiring a compact or NC RN license and telemetry-related certification.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a Clinical Decision Unit
• Patient population includes acute and progressive care cases requiring telemetry monitoring
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a PCU or telemetry unit
• Current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Must provide professional references as required by state (one for most states; two for FL and MO)
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility

Additional Information

• Duties include monitoring and managing progressive care patients, performing telemetry assessments, and administering prescribed treatments
• Expected to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• First time travelers may be eligible for this position
• No local candidates will be considered per facility rules
• All certifications must be valid and not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
